Delivery to Orphan Grain Train in Nebraska
Orphan Grain Train, a Christian volunteer network has received their first HAMMAR that will be used in their work supporting needy people in disaster areas all over America. OGT volunteers gather donations of clothing, medical supply, food and other aid to meet real needs. They are converting containers in to a variety of uses such as showers, sleeping quarter, restrooms, kitchens, medical facilities or storage. The containers can be taken to disaster areas on normal trailers or by the HAMMAR and then lifted of and placed on the ground exactly where needed.
We are proud to be a part in the fantastic work Orphan Grain Train is doing, supporting people in need all over America, comments Lars Frantzich from
Hammar Lift.

Production increasing at Hammar Lift in California.
The production at Hammar Lift, Inc. facility at Grand Terrace in California is increasing steadily. The company that was founded in 2006 does now have an ever increasing production flow of four different HAMMAR trailers for two HAMMAR crane models, the 151 and the 195 cranes.
The production will soon be moved to new production facilities for increased capacity and efficiency. Measures that is necessary to meet the demand of HAMMAR sideloaders from the market.
Containers are coming in to Grand Terrace with cranes and trailer beams to be ready assembled and finished with US components and delivered to customers, all over North America.
“This is a very exiting period!” says Lars Frantzich, VP of Hammar Lift, Inc. and responsible for the operation.
“A lot of hard work, but very rewarding when the HAMMAR’s reach their new owners and start their operation. We expect to increase the assembly and continue developing the sales to new customers all over the US and Canada too. There is certainly enough need for our equipment on the market to keep us busy for a long time.”

New Production Facilities
Hammar Lift, Inc. USA anxiously waits for the new production facility in Grand Terrace, CA, which will be finished early in 2008.
Shipment Arrives
Another container arrives in CA and as always….it is full.
Trailer frames and the Crane Sets are made in a very modern HAMMAR factory in Olsfors Sweden, for export to over 85 countries around the world and now….to the USA. All other components to make US DOT approved trailers; axles, hubs, wheels, brakes, suspensions and lighting are sourced in the US by Hammar Lift, Inc. west coast operation, where the trailer manufacturing and final assembly is done.
Unpacking is Tedious Work
Trailer frames made in Sweden coming out of the container.
It is hard to believe…….a sideloader manufacturer unloading a container while it is sitting on the chassis, but when sales sells everything by the time it is ready, or before, you have no choice.
It will be great when the drayage company gets their sideloader and can set it on the ground for unloading.
Unloading at Ground Level
Unloading the container at ground level is what it’s all about.
Safe, fast, less problems and……..it’s the way it was loaded!
In Assembly
A New HAMMAR 20/40/45/48 telescoping trailer is ready for crane mounting and then moved into the finishing stage.
The 195 C Combinated telescoping trailer with sliding cranes will handle one 20’, 2 x 20’, one 40’, one 45’ or even 48’ containers with load up to 33 Metric Tonnes or 73000 lbs. |

HAMMAR INCREASES AGAIN
Hardly the concrete of the last construction had dried before Hammar in Sweden (HQ) builds out additional production premises.
It is the high demand around the world on HAMMAR´s sideloaders, both new units and factory renovated second-hands, that justifies this new increase.
When completed by the end of 2006, the 2500 square meters premises will be used by our new maintenance unit, serving existing Hammars and restorating second-hands to be shipped to new missions and new customers.
- “The removal of our maintenance unit to these new premises will release longed-for production´s surface in other parts of the factory”, says production manager Sven-Gunnar Östangård.
Connected to the new premises also a new wash hall will be built. |

HAMMAR AUSTRALIA EXPANDS
The increased demand for HAMMAR Equipment around Australia has given Hammar the incentive to invest in a new Service Centre in Brisbane, as a first step in a large investment plan.
- “We will now be able to give our customers faster and more professional service where being close and always available to the customer is our focus” says Peter Levison, Managing Director for Hammar Australia.
Malcom Thompson will be responsible for the new Service Centre in Brisbane. Malcom has been in charge of the Hammar service from other rented premises since a few years already.
- “With new facilities, right location and with more tradesmen skills we will make it as easy as possible for our customers. Probably it will not be just HAMMAR owners to take care of” says Malcom with a smile.
Bengt-Olof Hammar, founder and owner of the Hammar Group, was also present at the official construction start in August 2006. |
